Throw in a two player co-op mode (which you can switch on to just 'dual wield', if you prefer) and you've got a much better alternative to getting out there and fighting real zombies. In other words, it all gets much more frantic! 2 players can work together in several game modes, including Arcade mode and Survival mode. Original arcade experience, complete with branching storylines, 6 ghoul-filled game modes, and bonus content. In your favour, the shotgun reload time will drop and a new melee attack will be available. The House of the Dead 2 and 3 titles compiled into 1 action-packed horror shooter. The speed of the enemy attacks will ramp up, while the bullet blast radius will get much smaller. After completing both House of the Dead 2 and 3, players will be able to access this mode. Especially for the Wii, there's also a brand spanking new mode going by the name of Extreme Mode. There are more than six modes to go at, including Arcade Mode and Time Attack Mode. The old lightgun game genre and the Wii are a good match, and SEGA's re-release takes advantage of the Wii Remote to spare you the cost of a gun peripheral. Hey, we didn't say it was politically correct. HotD 2 is a test of skill, patience and precision, whereas 3 is a much more casual affair that can be seen off with little more than an itchy trigger finger. Originally released in the arcades, the series essentially puts players on rails, gun in hand, to do battle with hordes of malnourished beings, the intellectually and mortally challenged. Don't worry, it's only SEGA bringing back its House of the Dead franchise for a dash of Wii action. Zombies! In your living room! Or bedroom! Or wherever it is that you play games.
